New AM-machine at the DMRC: Gewo3D „HTP 260“

The DMRC expands its machine park in the field of FDM with an AM machine from the German-based company GEWO Feinmechanik GmbH. The system named “Gewo3D HTP 260” is currently the only machine according to the FDM-principle, which has an open machine control and at the same time an actively heated build chamber with temperatures up to 260°C.

The “HTP 260” has two nozzles that can be heated up to 450 °C. The maximum part size is 350 x 150 x 165 mm (L x W x H). These properties make it possible to process high-temperature polymers such as PEEK, PPSU or PEI. Furthermore the machine offers the opportunity to develop and process new materials for the FDM process.
The new machine will intensify and expand research at the DMRC in the field of new materials for polymer-based additive manufacturing.
