Motivation
In order to assure quality of SLM manufactured parts, a view into the production history of each layer might help to increase trust in this procedure and help to minimize post-process quality costs.

Aim
The aim of the project is to obtain a benchmark for the most popular quality assurance systems for laser beam melting machines. In this case that are Meltpool Monitoring systems which are provided by several manufacturers with different specifications. This project will show the advantages and disadvantages
of the monitoring quality and operator convenience.
