This year, our colleague Andre Riemer has been awarded with the “Prize of the presidium for excellent PhD thesis”. The prize is endowed with €2500 and was received at the annual New Year's reception of the Paderborn University on January 17th. Mr. Riemer's work represents his research on the effects of material, processing parameters and heat treatment on the fracture mechanical behavior of metallic parts manufactured by Laser Melting. Congratulations!
